Yes - all of our sheds come treated with either a dip-treatment which provides a waterproof layer. While our premium sheds are pressure treated which offers a deeper penetration of treatment into the timber providing better protection against rot and decay.

Is my premium shed waterproof?

Our premium sheds are pressure-treated, which provides excellent protection against rot and decay by allowing the treatment to penetrate deeply into the timber. However, pressure treatment does not make the timber waterproof.

In fact, the process can leave the timber damp for a short period, meaning wet timber may absorb water more easily, potentially leading to moisture inside the shed and if treatment or paint is applied before the timber is fully dry, it may not adhere properly.

To enhance waterproofing, we’re introducing Powersheds Clear Waterproofing Wood Stain – a specialised treatment designed to seal and protect your premium shed while maintaining its natural look.

For best results, we recommend allowing your shed to dry naturally or improving ventilation (such as leaving the door open) before applying the preserver.
